Nissan Q3: automobile ops in the red for third quarter


Just over a week after the Q3 results were announced, Nissan’s credit rating was cut to speculative grade by Moody’s. By Jonathan Storey

Our introduction to Nissan’s Q2 results is unchanged for Q3: its fiscal year is not getting any better, nor for that matter is its forecasting ability. A 99% drop in operating profit and downgrade to the full-year profit forecast in fiscal Q1 was followed by an 85% profit fall and further downgrade in Q2 and a 78% profit fall and a third downgrade in Q3.
