Fantasy Football Rankings 2024: Sleepers from NFL model that nailed Breece Hall's huge season

Last season, 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy became one of the biggest Fantasy football sleeper picks. The Iowa State product only had a few regular-season games under his belt when he took over as QB1 in Kyle Shanahan’s offense and exploded for 4,280 yards and 31 touchdowns on a 69.4% completion rate. Purdy isn’t as high in the 2024 Fantasy football rankings as quarterbacks like Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, which makes him one of the potential 2024 Fantasy football sleepers as San Francisco prepares for another dominant season.

If you’re looking to add a Purdy-like quarterback for your 2024 Fantasy football picks, there are more 2024 Fantasy football rookie quarterbacks entering the league this season. Would a rookie like Caleb Williams or Drake Maye have the same kind of 2024 Fantasy projections as Purdy did last season? Before crafting your 2024 Fantasy football draft strategy, be sure to check out the 2024 Fantasy football rankings and cheat sheets from the proven computer model at SportsLine.

Last year, the model accurately predicted that Jets running back Breece Hall would significantly outperform his sixth-round Fantasy football ADP in 10-team PPR leagues. The result: Hall rushed 223 times for 994 yards and five scores and was also a dynamic receiver out of the backfield, catching 76 passes for 591 yards and four more scores. He’d wind up finishing as the No. 2 running back in CBS Sports PPR leagues behind only Christian McCaffrey.

The same model has a proven track record providing Fantasy football tips, identifying A.J. Brown as a sleeper in 2020 and nailing Jonathan Taylor’s monstrous season in 2021. Additionally, it’s called past Fantasy football sleepers like Derrick Henry in 2019, Christian McCaffrey and Alvin Kamara in 2018, and Davante Adams in 2017. Anybody who banked on players like those made a run at their league title.

The model is powered by the same people who generated projections for all three major Fantasy sites, and it beat human experts last season when there was a big difference in ranking. The 2024 Fantasy football PPR rankings and 2024 Fantasy football standard rankings update multiple times daily, so you’re always getting the best Fantasy football advice.

Now, SportsLine has simulated the entire NFL season 10,000 times and released its latest Fantasy football rankings 2024, along with plenty of sleepers, breakouts and busts. Head to SportsLine now to see them.

Top 2024 Fantasy football sleepers

One of the 2024 Fantasy football sleepers the model is predicting: Browns running back Jerome Ford. The 24-year-old has been taking first-team snaps since the spring and he will be shouldering a heavy workload since Nick Chubb is starting the 2024 season on the PUP list.

As Cleveland’s starting in Weeks 3-17 last season, Ford averaged 14.9 touches and 66.6 total yards per game. He finished the year with 813 yards and four touchdowns, plus an additional 44 receiving yards. The SportsLine model expects Ford to be drafted around the ninth round in Fantasy football pools, so he is an undervalued get who could make a big impact for the Browns this season.

Another sleeper that SportsLine’s Fantasy football rankings 2024 have identified: Cowboys wide receiver Brandin Cooks. The well-traveled Cooks’ Dallas tenure got off to a rocky start when he hurt his knee in Week 1, missed Week 2 and then needed a few games to find his footing and role in the Cowboys offense. However, once he did just that starting in Week 6, he was one of the most productive receivers in the league. From Weeks 6 thru 18, Cooks ranked 14th amongst wideouts in Fantasy points, which is in line with his career rankings as was a top 20 Fantasy wide receiver six times over his previous eight seasons.

With CeeDee Lamb on the other side, Cooks will never see a double team, and he plays in an offense that ranked first in points, first in passing touchdowns and third in passing yards last year. With Dallas losing No. 3 receiver Michael Gallup, and no proven options to replace him, Dak Prescott may rely even more on players like Cooks and Lamb this season. SportsLine’s model has Cooks on par with Minnesota’s Jordan Addison, despite the latter having an earlier 2024 Fantasy football ADP. See which other Fantasy football sleepers 2024 to pick here.
