Fantasy football 2024 rankings, draft prep: QB, RB, WR, TE picks, ADP, cheat sheets, tiers from NFL model

After making strides defensively and winning four of their last six games to close out the season in 2024, the Chicago Bears will debut a new-look offense on September 8 against the Tennessee Titans. No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams will take the reins at quarterback and Chicago added Keenan Allen, D’Andre Swift and Rome Odunze to an offense that already included D.J. Moore and Cole Kmet. New offensive coordinator Shane Waldron will now be tasked with figuring out how to distribute touches, upending the 2024 Fantasy football WR rankings and 2024 Fantasy football RB rankings.

Where exactly should you target the aforementioned Bears during your 2024 Fantasy football draft prep? With a reliable set of Fantasy football rankings 2024, you can increase your scoring potential and prepare yourself for any major runs at every position. If you’re looking for 2024 Fantasy football advice, be sure to check out the 2024 Fantasy football cheat sheets from the proven computer model at SportsLine.

Last year, the model accurately predicted that Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle would fail to live up to his Fantasy football ADP. Waddle’s 2023 Fantasy football ADP was 34.86 overall and he was the 11th receiver off the board on average. He’d go on to notch a 1,000-yard season but only had 72 receptions with four touchdowns and he’d finish as the No. 34 Fantasy football wide receiver in CBS Sports PPR leagues.

The same model has a proven track record providing Fantasy football tips, identifying A.J. Brown as a sleeper in 2020 and nailing Jonathan Taylor’s monstrous season in 2021. Additionally, it’s called past Fantasy football sleepers like Derrick Henry in 2019, Christian McCaffrey and Alvin Kamara in 2018, and Davante Adams in 2017. Anybody who banked on players like those made a run at their league title.

The model is powered by the same people who generated projections for all three major Fantasy sites, and it beat human experts last season when there was a big difference in ranking. The 2024 Fantasy football PPR rankings and 2024 Fantasy football standard projections update multiple times daily, so you’re always getting the best Fantasy football advice and the latest Fantasy football tiers.

Top 2024 Fantasy football QB rankings

Here’s a look at SportsLine’s top three 2024 Fantasy football QB picks:

1. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles: Hurts wasn’t quite as efficient as a passer in 2023 as he was in 2022 but he attempted 78 more passes and finished with career-highs in passing yardage (3,858) and passing touchdowns (23). He also rushed for 605 yards and a career-high 15 touchdowns and that level of utilization, particularly near the goal line, is a big reason why he’s the model’s QB1 for 2024.

2. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills: Over the last four years, he’s finished as QB1, QB1, QB2 and QB1. He’ll have to deal with the loss of Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis but this is still an offense built entirely around his abilities as a playmaker. Allen also rushed for a career-high 15 touchdowns last season and has 53 rushing touchdowns in six NFL seasons.

3. Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs: Mahomes dealt with subpar wide receiver play early in the season and had his worst season statistically. However, the Chiefs revamped their receivers’ room with the additions Xavier Worthy and Marquise Brown, and Travis Kelce is still operating as an elite tight end deep into his 30s. See more top QBs here.

Top 2024 Fantasy football RB rankings

Here’s a look at SportsLine’s top three 2024 Fantasy football RB picks:

1. Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers: McCaffrey was the top Fantasy running back last year, posting RB1 finishes in more than 80% of his games. He averaged more than 20 touches and 126 yards per game while commanding the most red zone touches among running backs. McCaffrey is in the prime of his career, so an injury seems like the only thing that could keep him from posting another excellent Fantasy campaign.

2. Breece Hall, New York Jets: The 23-year-old had to recover from a major knee injury prior to last season, but he still finished as the RB6 in Fantasy points per game. Hall led all running backs in targets, receiving yards and receptions, giving him a high ceiling this year. He also receives an upgrade at quarterback in Aaron Rodgers, so Hall is in line for an even better season in 2024.

3. Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles: Barkley spent six years with the Giants before moving to a division rival this offseason. He should have plenty of scoring opportunities with his new squad, potentially taking some goal-line touches away from quarterback Jalen Hurts. Barkley played at least 70% of snaps in 11 of his 14 games last season, so he still has what it takes to be the bell cow back in one of the league’s best offenses. See more top RBs here.

Top 2024 Fantasy football WR rankings

Here’s a look at SportsLine’s top three 2024 Fantasy football WR picks:

1. CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys: Lamb finished the 2023 season with 135 receptions for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns, which made him the only non-quarterback to score over 400 fantasy points in CBS Sports PPR leagues. Lamb was particularly outstanding down the stretch, and should see a massive number of targets again in 2024. The change to Brian Schottenheimer as offensive coordinator was huge for Lamb’s production last year, and there’s no reason to believe it won’t carry over into 2024.

2. Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins: When the Dolphins traded for Hill, many fantasy football experts expected a dip in production for the speedy veteran. That couldn’t have been further from the truth as the future Hall of Famer has gone over 1,700 receiving yards in both of his seasons in Miami. Hill, who may be the fastest player in the NFL, is a threat to go the distance every time he touches the ball.

3. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions: St. Brown has been proving people wrong since the day he entered the NFL as a fourth-round pick out of USC. In three seasons, St. Brown has totaled 315 receptions for 3,588 yards and 21 touchdowns. He had the best season of his career in 2023, catching 119 passes for 1,515 yards and 10 touchdowns. With tight end Sam LaPorta and running back Jahmyr Gibbs keeping defenses honest, St. Brown should continue to see plenty of single coverage in 2024. See more top WRs here.

Top 2024 Fantasy football TE rankings

Here’s a look at SportsLine’s top three 2024 Fantasy football TE picks:

1. Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs: The struggles of Kansas City wide receivers affected not just Mahomes last year but Kelce as well. Having no threats out wide allowed defenses to focus more attention on the future Hall of Fame tight end. With the additions of WRs Marquise Brown and Xavier Worthy, that shouldn’t be the case in 2024 as Kelce could reclaim his throne as the top Fantasy tight end.

2. Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens: Before breaking his leg in Week 11 last year, Andrews was on pace for his most touchdowns and second-most receptions and receiving yards in a season. So, the overhaul of WRs that the Ravens made didn’t diminish their stud tight end’s production. Andrews is as consistent as they come as from 2019-22, he ranked among the top five in positional Fantasy points every season.

3. Sam LaPorta, Detroit Lions: LaPorta had a historic first season as he set the NFL rookie record for catches by a tight end (86) and tied the record for touchdowns by a first-year tight end (10) in the Super Bowl era. He also blasted through the proverbial rookie wall, leading the position in Fantasy points over the last half of the 2023 season. Having a year of pro experience will only help him in 2024, and he’s a focal point of one of the league’s most explosive offenses. See more top TEs here.
